    The Insurance Verification Coordinator will be responsible for verifying benefits for all surgical and minor procedures, obtaining prior authorization and/or pre-determination for all surgical and minor procedures, explaining patient's benefits and eligibility and collecting co-pays, deductibles, and coinsurances.


    • The Insurance Verification Coordinator will ensure the quality of patient insurance verification and precertification while obtaining thorough and accurate information in a timely and efficient manner.

    • Communicate and interact with ancillary departments, staff and patients to ensure quality care for all patients.

    • Serve as a patient resource in matters concerning financial/payment arrangements and discuss financial matters for up-front collections or payment arrangements if necessary

      • Verify benefits and eligibility

      • Obtain prior authorization and/or pre-determination

      • Explainbenefits to patients

      • Collect all deductibles, copays, and coinsurances prior to scheduled procedures


    • High school diploma or equivalent

    • 1-3 years of experience in medical insurance verification, coding / billing, revenue cycle management is highly preferred.

    • Strong customer services skills with demonstrable tact and diplomacy

    • Excellent communication skills, oral and written

    • Strong organization skills with attention to detail

    • Computer Literacy

    • NextGen experience a plus

    • HIPAA and OSHA compliance
